Welcome to Skill Sharing

Our Community has a wealth of knowledge, skills, and life experience! Getting the opportunity to open ourselves up and share our gifts with others brings us closer together!

Whether you are a baker, mechanic, or master magician, our community is eager to learn from each other.

Join us on Thursday evenings to learn and share in person at Community Living Room, 113 W. Harris St., Suite 1010, Appleton, WI.

Ready to learn life lessons and skills from our coop and community members? Register Here.

Upcoming Skill Sharing

  • Intro to Medication

    Thursday, March 26th, 6 pm - 8 pm

Ever feel that meditation wasn’t for you, or you just don’t know how to do it? Our Cooperative member, Theresa Spoehr, will show us how. This will be a gentle intro to freeing our minds of all the chatter.

  • De-Escalation: Continuing the Conversation

On April 16th, from 6 pm to 8 pm, we’ll continue the conversation about how to stand up for our neighbors without causing more problems. How do we get involved? How do we calm someone down who’s causing conflict? El Kruglak shows us how in this free Skill Sharing. Please register using the button above to protect all those attending. Thank you.

  • Soup & Civics

On April 23rd, we’re going to have a fun civics lesson from Karen’s father, Jerry Iverson, and enjoy a bowl of soup while we learn! To protect and stand for democracy, we need to understand how governments and local communities are run. Join us from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Community Living Room for this free skill-sharing.

  • Create a Hope Board

Join Lynn on April 30th for a fun, creative project: creating a hope board. A hope board, similar to a dream board, is a way to use our creativity to hope for a better future for ourselves, our communities, and our world. Have interesting spare magazines you’d like to share in this creative process? Please bring them. This is a free event from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Community Living Room.
