Upcoming Skill Sharing

  • Come & Play with the BFK (Building for Kid) May 14th, at CLR, 6 pm - 8 pm

Building for Kids Children's Museum has been inspiring discovery and building resilient children and families through play for over 30 years. We believe that childhood play is essential to children, their caregivers, and the community.

We also believe that play doesn't stop after childhood! We believe our communities will be stronger when adults remember and foster play at home and in the workplace.

Be ready to foster these skills through playful fun with members of the BFK!

  • Beads and Belonging June 25th, at CLR, 6 PM - 8 pm

This is more than a jewelry-making workshop —this is a space for connection, healing, and self-expression.

Rooted in the rich traditions of West African beadwork, we come together to create not just jewelry, but meaning. Every bead tells a story. Every piece we create reflects a part of who we are—where we’ve been, what we’ve overcome, and where we’re going.

This is a judgment-free space where all are welcome. Whether you’re navigating life’s challenges, rebuilding, or simply seeking community—you belong here.

Through our hands, we create. Through our stories, we connect. Through this circle, we remind each other that there is beauty, strength, and purpose in every journey.

*Open to the first 12 registrants. All others will be put on a waitlist. Don’t hesitate! Register now!
